well she passed her her last club gaining and now is a black tag , it has taking her about four years with the odd break namely leg, torn achilles tendon the odd finger and toe lol

she can now go for her black belt after six months so to october one is october scotland is in Scotland although she sooner wait to march in Manchester.

so it is a lot of work done in building on the hard work she has put in , in the last few years .

Thats great finally a unbiased ref , lol..

It seems your daughter has a flair for this and for a young person too stick with something so long proves she has what it takes, i wish you and your daughter and your family all the best in the future, she looks as though she has a bright one...

yes peter refed a lot of the matches and was fair , never seen anything wrong or unfair that he did , the one thing about the day i liked is the st johns never had to do anything and that is good , the day was more to give the kids mat exsperiqance as with the current rules first to 12 or seven point gap this was not used in this comp, well i have seen it all over in less than a minute.

taekwondo has two diseplins ~

sport like what we seen in the olympics

poomsae like katas in karate and this is what she will be doing in stoke and she will be training with some of the best in the UK.

this is our clubs star who just came back from the world championships finishing 17th and missed going further by 0.16 point

here he is in action in portugal this year

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=s4Mgrkju4BM

and here he is in pairs , just look how much in time they are

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=_1jKkDMfT8g

a lot of the kids don't like poomsae although if you have good technique the rest follows

well lets hope i don't get lost again i stoke lol

Stoke is a easy place to get lost in, its unique the city of Stoke on Trent is made up of six Towns its a long city rather than a wide city.

Longton, Fenton, Hanley, Stoke-Upon-Trent, Burslem and Tunstall each area has its own shops, police station, library etc

Hanley is the retail centre of the city with the main shopping centre

But what confuses people is that each town has its own area ie Longton has many Adderley green,Sandford hill,Weston Coyney, Weston Park, Normacot, Meir,Dresdon etc and so on, Hanley has Birches Head , Etruria,Snow Hill,Cobridge, Bentilee etc..

Also what confuses people is the city centre is Hanley not Stoke and the main train station is just outside Stoke etc, So when you see a sign or a bus for the City Centre that is Hanley not Stoke, When you see a sign for train station that is usually Stoke but Longton also has a train station etc.

It gets complicated trust me, so unless you use sat nav you are going to get lost as the city is complicated and is changing.

well got there although the traffic on the m6 for most parts was bumper to bumper up untill the service just before i came off, there was nearly 40 people there from all over the uk including people from northen ireland, scotland , london as well as more local places like stoke , manchester and runcorn.

the trainig seminar was run by grand master tw shin 8 dan one of the highest respected master in the uk , one guy drove down from from falkirk in scotland, trained 3~3 and a half hours and went back home , to give you a idear of the standard they are aiming for recently chan sau from my daughters club was compeating in the world poomsae championships in turkey ( first time it has been held out sid of korea) he missed the final by 0.18 of a point when they looked at the video as they could not belive it they noticed that one of his stances was slightly wider than it should of been (aproxamatly 2 cm) lol . with the distances people have traveled elizabeth is luck to be able to train with master shin every month , you can see the improvement she is making and is of a good standard for her grade .

here is a picture of halton taekwondo with grand master tw shin from left to right

ian davis 1 dan, grand master tw shin 8th dan, elizabeth sampson 1 st kup and chan sau 2nd dan

Glad you found it ok, Stoke on Trent is 6 towns m8, people always forget about Fenton and Burslem, yet Burslem is the founding town of the city(the mother town) although there is not much there etc, and Fenton is a large area.

Hope you and your family have a good New Year M8.

well it looks like i will be making the journey to stoke on a more regular basis so you had better hide lol.

elizabeth has been working hard at her club as well as stoke and Manchester and it seams to have paid off, basically because of the way he gradings fell she could not do her black belt this April, although as he had come on in leaps and bounds her instructor told us to take her to master shins in Manchester to see if she could do it this April and he said yes , so basically it is six weeks off and she is tran towards it and i have told her at the end of the day it is up to her :ok

her instructor says she should definitely go for it and should get it although i not to tell her that so she don't go in over confident

her grading is about £110 so at the end of the day she got to be Shaw .

one more point think i have it sussed how to find the place now
