Got to go in to hospital,tonight...Hopefully my hospital visits will be comming to an end..I'm on the mend with my ankle..(should be going back to work next week )
I don't know if any of you snore,(Im really bad )but get it checked out....I got fitted with a heart ,blood pressure and a data recording machine..And during the night they found out that I stop breathing, not once but twice...How long for I don't know,(they wouldn't say )but they want me in as soon as possible,so they can do a overinght study on my sleep...
That all took place last Thursday..Get a phone call this morning can I go along tonight..

you stopped breathing and it took 5 days for an apointment...
actually, the way the nhs is at the minute, i'm not sure if thats an amazingly fast apointment, or an absolute joke.

this very problem was on the news tonight
a guy who fell asleep at the wheel of a lorry and killed a guy, the driver was suffering from sleep apnea and didnt have a clue about his condition
he had been to his GP telling him/her he was tired all the time dispite getting a good nights sleep every night GP took no notice in short
turns out the guy was waking up 100's of times a night and didnt notice
but the next day felt like sh*t and didnt know why

Many thanks guys...
Well I had the tests..What happend my throat rexlaxes and it blocks off my airway which results in me stopping breathing...I thought it was only a couple of times..times that by 50..then you realise how serious the problem can be..
I've got to go back and have a mask fitted so it keeps my airway open, this will stop me snoreing..then Ill be cured on the lack of sleep/and my breathing problem... once and for all..:biggrin

We men never seem to go the docs when we should, i have to go every month to the nurse and every other to the doc always seem to forget and im always a week later or so etc , theyre both great but i always feel as though ive got better more important things to do, but should really make more of a effort to visit etc..
So men whatever the prob is lets make more of a effort.

So men whatever the prob is lets make more of a effort. We get one chance on this earth..Me personaly would like to hang around as long as possible, and live life to the full...
But one thing we can't take for granted is our health...No I don't go running down to the quacks for every sniffel, cough,or wheeze..
But I like to keep active, and I want to enjoy life when I hang up my working boots for good..

Hope it all gets sorted ok M8.
You might become a TV star too, if the BBC decide to do a second series of
Sleep Clinic (http://www.landmarkfilms.com/pages/sleepclinic.htm) ,which was on BBC1 last year.
It was one of my favourite programs serious and funny too,
but also very informative.
I think it used to be on a monday night after the 10 O'Clock news, strangly I always had a good nights sleep after watching those with sleep problems.
btw I do snore. and my wife says I stop breathing for a while and then inhale/exhale
very loudly, but my GP says its nothing to worry about: He worries me.
Viewer M8. get well soon.:ok
