Just thought i would post this...i have had the recipe for such a long time but being diabetic i have never used it but may come in usefull to some...

you can buy easter egg moulds from the web right cost around £2 and basically theyre a plastic mould you melt some chocolate and pour into the mould let it stand for a minute until cool and pour excess out, considering most eggs cost £1 or more depending on whats included but theyre basically a ounce of chocolate melted..so you should be able to make inbetween 5-10 chocolate eggs out of 1 -200g bar of dairy milk...

now fillings box of maltezers split between the 5 eggs do nicely same with bag of large smarties etc etc..

If you have small egg moulds how about making cadburys cream eggs, what those 30p+ eggs how?

1/2 cup light corn syrup (which is 1-1/4 cups sugar and 1/3 cup water boiled together until syrupy this will make a batch of corn syrup..)

1/4 cup butter -- softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 cups powdered sugar
4 drops yellow food coloring
2 drops red food coloring
2 tablespoons vegetable shortening (which is basically the vegetable version of lard)

Combine corn syrup, butter, vanilla and salt in a large bowl. Beat well
with an electric mixer until smooth.
Add powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing by hand after each addition.
Mix well until creamy.
Remove about 1/3 of the mixture and place it into a small bowl. Add the
yellow and red food colorings and stir well.
Cover both mixtures and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
When mixtures are firm, roll a small, marble-sized ball from the orange
filling, and wrap around it a portion of the white filling that is roughly
twice the size. Form this filling into the shape of an egg and place it on
a cookie sheet that has been brushed with a light coating of shortening.
Repeat for the remaining filling ingredients, then refrigerate these
centers for 3-4 hours or until firm.

then add them to the inside of your eggs...

Great for the kids to make if not this easter next...
