Anyone now how to create a music playlist from the sim card on a samsung j600 (kids doing me head in)

You mean from the memory card? not the sim ?

music player/playlists/create/save/open saved/add tracks/

If you have saved the tracks on memory card it may not pick them up.. if thats the case transfer from mem card to phone- add to your playlist that way.. then delete from phone memory.
