gave up trying to connect my ps3 to the net via wireless ,the router was reading the mac addrerss but not letting me access anything,anyway bought a 20m ethernet cable today and connected to one of the other ports on my wireless router and worked first time,so basiclly now just using wireless router to acess 2 pc s

the question is can this system allow me to acess my pc so i could download videos /music etc from my pc upstairs onto my ps3?

M8 tversity is a free piece of software you download and install, then create a folder on your pc`s hard drive and stick your divx,movies,mp3`s in there, then turn on your ps3 do a media server scan, it will find tversity at first your folders will be empty, then come back to the pc and start tversity on the sharing tab of the program find the folder you want to share, and start server and hey presto movies/mp3 will stream from your pc to your playstation you can use the control pad on the ps3 to fastforward, rewind, play faster etc etc, i found it took time for the ps3 to first locate all of my movies etc but now when i stick a new film on its found within minutes also you can add individual movies etc and you can add tv links to it so you can watch internet tv , you tube etc etc, if you need any help yell, im converting my dvd collection into divx, so i can move them away in storage to declutter etc, i use my ps3 to read the online newspapers via its browser etc.
