the m 3 real is a much better card and got that from a nintendo nut, the r4ds will only take up to a 2 gig but these other cards can take 8 gig or bigger :ok

well clicks took mine and others money but did not have the cards or any hope of getting them , in fact the problem was barcaly card susspended their card that they admitted to in the end and thus could not buy the cards, well it they took peoples money why did they not use this.

with modchipfitters they have a amount avalable then when you order the amount goes down, a m8 of mine went to bowlers be fore christmas and they wanted £60~70 for a card , i think it just gread

well my 11 year old has no problems with the card and downloads any games she wants

shopligand got one of these cards and they are better than the r4ds and much equivqlent to the m3 real and quite cheap, the only thing is the instructions are cr*p but it aint rocket science setting it up.

Well I'm getting 1 for the gf. But I'm not paying silly prices for something I might have to wait ages for due to xmas demand.

Like Wobblebottom I'll simply wait untill the demand has leveled out and those stocking it actually have it in stock!.

Yes teddy I can see that of cause lol. But as the DS has the slot for the GBA games it seems a thought that the *.gba rom files should work.

I was wandering if they do work or if the GBA roms have to go in a seperate folder?.

What teddy says is true of cause. And with many a newer game weighing in at 128mb file size I can see the advantage of cause. Plus the R3 has far better capability over the R4 with reguards to memory card capacity and GBA (Game Boy Advance) support.

We are however more than happy with the R4 as the GF loves the setup of me putting new games on it for her in seconds.

We only have a 1gb card for the R4 and that currently has about 18 DS games on it.

Plus no DS game to mind runs over 128mb in file size. But I guess this will change this year as they start to do the full 3D capability and take advantage of higher capacity cartridges!.

dave its a m3 real not a r3 :biggrin

there are a few different types and the one shopligand has look ok and it was a good price , the first one o got was the r4ds although i wanted another and ended up getting a m3 real, the set up and screen looks much better and you can change the theams and how the start up looks , also it can take bigger sd cards so you could put video on it if yoru wanted .

i used

modchipfitters

do a search , i orded it the friday before christmas and got it the next day, also they state how many in stock and conferm your order.
