I think that there is a custom firmware for the slim n lite but it will probably be quite buggy,

your answer should be in there somewhere m8 :ok

i no its possible to put a custom firmware on a slim using a pandora battery and pandora mem stick, but i thought i read that u can make a pandora battery via software instead of soldering a wire on the battery.

I very much doubt it m8. The slim is still pretty new and any non-pandora hack is unlikely to be much good or use. And remember, if it goes wrong it's a complete brick with little options after that.

I think I do recall from a few weeks ago about an option of doing things via a software thing instead.

But from what I read it dont really work as it would defeat the popular and still used option of actually making the pandora battery in the first place!. Meaning if it worked then everyone would be doing it instead of the more expensive option of getting the spare battery and hard fixing that\making the pandora battery.

I maight be wrong though. But check the above link by Chris06 as it's where I got most of my info to do mine m8.

But whatever you do NEVER BUT NEVER upgrade the official sony firmware unless it's part of the downgrade process. As it will take far longer for a useable hack to become available.
