Isthe new sata drive now your main drive with your os system installed on it..?

If so and your bios supports it simply install the ata drive , then copy over what you need, (i have nearly 2 terrabytes of hdd`s installed and ive done it all this way) dont try and copy the OS onto the new drive or you may get the blue error screen windows slings out, if you need to copy emails and addresses and favourite weblinks there are easy ways of doing it etc.
