Windows Vista Question

Mate of mine has bought a new pc with vista installed from pc world

He wants microsoft office, i have an xp version thanx to a very kind man:biggrin
which i said he could use but the geezer in the shop said it wouldn't work with vista
and he'd have to buy a copy!!

Is this bloke talking out of his rear or do pc world actually employ people with a brain

any advice would be much appreciated

i told him not to buy it, so i'll give it a go and load it on his machine

even if the old one dont work ..i bet one of the free ones will have been updated to work with vista..tell him to try open office:ok


i'll have a fiddle myself later and post results unless someone knows different in the meantime:ok

I would also go for open office.

Just read...it will install however some people are having probs after vista updates itself etc...
