I have had my wii chipped since just after I bought it, not 100% sure which chip is in it as a friend took it to a shop he knew and had it done for me. It cost me £30 and I think it might be a wiikey.
Anyway I have about 50 backups for it that work fine, some of the recent ones have needed an online update to work. After reading on the net NOT to do the update with the game in I ejected the game and did an update from the wii settings menu, this was fine and the backup worked.
However, I have recently backed up (who I am kidding!!) mario strikers and the update message appears (only on that game, the others are fine) as usual I go to do the update but theres a warning for Nintendo.
WARNING, DO NOT RUN THIS UPDATE IF YOUR CONSOLE HAS BEEN MODIFIED IN ANY WAY AS IT COULD LEAD TO ITS MALFULTION!.
The warning is before you click update and is in red, mario strikers wont work unless you run it but I ont want to brick it.
I have searched the web for some info on it but cant find anyting, does anyone have any knowlege or this update or has anyone ran it etc?
any feedback would be very appreciated.
cheers
