Hi guys and Gals,

Have just got four laptops fromPC World, cheap and cheerful ones. I needed a new one for disco's and decided to get the kids one each, as there PC's had broke and I could not be bothered to repair them. So I have put there HDD's in my old PC which has two RAID disc's in it aswell, and I want to use it as a server, where the kids can log onto there own space on the servers HDD and use that to store there stuff.

I also have a load of music on the RAID drives, which I want to share, but it is really important that they are not allowed to delete the files, so how can I set this up?

I have a wireless router and we can all access the internet so the connections are OK.

I have Windows Server 2003, but no serial number, so looks like I am stuck with Windows XP on this machine.
Any help will be great.

Cheers
Swanny.

Just set and sharing using XP on server and set the permissions to read only, for the kids and add yourself full control

Tried that, but I get an error saying
\\server\MyMusic is not accessible. You might not have permissions to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of the server to find out if you have permissions.
