Xbox 360 Kernel Downgrade

Anyone know anything about this and what are the benifits to it. Ive just bought a 360 of the lad across the street and i was told to upgrade to k[ernal] 4532 and do this kernal thing but i wouldnt have a clue where to begin

what you doing with your old console how much do you want for it ?

Its ok bit loud with a hitachi drive.Ive not even thought about selling it but it all depends how much its worth i can get it working but it can still go off and everytime i fiddle with i get ever 2 flashing light,3 flashing lights or E74.Its working at the moment hopfully iit will last abit so i can play halo 3
