Anyone using one of these?

I have a purposely built media player which is connected to the 50inch tv, which is great but the problem is i have nieces and nephews who come up and after a while end up on the pc under the tv , surfing the net and playing games that tie up the pc, so ive seen media player cases that you stick a hd inside and it plays video and mp3 etc, however i recently came across one, that maplins have in that plays hd and divx6 its on offer for 69.99. (+ ide hdd)

maplins dont really have much info so ive tracked down the manufacturer and this is the info they have

saw that myself and thought it looked good but havn,t got round to buying one yet

ebay have loads mate starting from about £10

i was looking at that last week, handy cos you can plug a dm500 into it and record from it, then cos its a NAS, you have access from your pc as well :ok

Yeah i know m8 , looks a good piece of kit, i have seen cheaper ones on ebay but not as good. i have also seen the same one but with a hdmi connection which would suit me better but actually tracking one down is impossible, trying not to import one , as i just had to pay some duty for a parcel from china last month, thanks to dhl..

Anyway one on order, when it comes i stick a hd inside and give a review.

a m8 got the media center type one (fill it with divx and plug into tv type) and it was a bit hit and miss to be honest, but it was a cheaper ebay one not the maplin one...

Like a said got a media pc under the tv, but when anyone comes up they check the local paper online then off they goooooooooooooooo, about 2hrs later ive missed everything worth watching, where this looks ok especially networkable etc and you can stick another usb device into it etc, so in theory another hd plugged into that, i will check that out as well(1 for movies - 1 for mp3 etc).
