Previous owner(s)

Son has just bought a 51 Focus from a Ford dealer which seems OK but the "history" booklet doesn't show any original/previous owner(s). Any ideas on how to get this info?

DVLA will let you have the info for a small fee of 5 poonds:ok

Why my son didn't ask to see the DVLA log, I don't know; so if he doesn't cancel the cheque, he'll have to wait until he gets the info from DVLA.:mad:

Guess if there is summat not right, it will be an expensive lesson for him

are you on about the manual for the car or the V5, the manual will only show any work/services by the main dealer or a garage with there stamp for the work whats been carried out.

The V5 will show when the car was 1st registered etc, and how many previous keepers its had, all V5's now carry a DVLA water mark on them.

At the mo, until the updated DVLA doc is sent, the Service History doc that came with the manual etc is the only doc that he has that might have shown the original owner(s). I've often seen this info written on the 1st page of the doc but, in this case, nothing is shown...... the page is blank although other pages show the services that have been done:confused

I suppose I'm being over-suspicious about the car but one hears of so many cons that go on with used cars:evil:

It's the dealers reputation down the drain if it's an iffy car m8. It'd be a more expensive leson for them.
