Windows XP update problem

Runing a legit copy of windows and suprised that I can't update a windows
security issue. the yellow icon sits at the bottom of the screen all the time
reminding me of the required update !

Anyone else having problems with windows updates.

Finally tried no luck .. what goes on ?

try turning off autoupdate and download the update manualy


i don't use autoupdate but i just downloaded that update manualy fine

i had this and cured mine by going to add and remove programes ,removing the version of framework 1 and any other framework 1 additional software updates. Then went to Microsoft Update and ran it ,it then said i needed an update of Framework 1.1 so i downloaded it and that annoying update kb928366 installed itself.
