doe's anyone know if windows xp will run ok on an oldish pc with an amd athlon(tm)1004 mhz processor 256mb ram and 20gb hd

yes it will, would recommend more ram though, but best bet run linux :ok

thanks for advice m8, grandsons pc corrupted, running me and no backup disk, xp will be short term fix till christmas!!!

try and use XP Home rather than Profesional as home runs ok on 256mb
