unlock mobile

hi all
just got a nokia 1600 pay as you go t, mobile for mothers day,
tried to put a tesco pay as you go in it but it will not take it .
can some one tell me what to do

your phone is most likely locked to the t-mobile network, you will need to get a t-mobile sim card or get the phone unlocked to use it with the tesco sim card

just thought ,if its a t-mobile phone it should have came with a t-mobile sim card. if so why put a tesco card in it?

can yer unlock the d600 via entering the pin number etc i remember doing it from the old fourm but not sure where it is now en e 1 no ????

nokias can be unlocked by code free calcs are available on the net if you dont have the tech knowhow a shop will unlock it for about a tenner.
