does anyone know who to adjust the timings of a video card so that it outputs the display in hd. i have an nvida GeForce 7300 GS video card that is connected to my hdtv via dvi cable. i know that my video card can display hd cos when i boot up my pc the display settings on my tv screen flicker between hd and a standard pc screen.

as kejot said, make sure you dont have the option for the resolution in your display properties, right click on desktop, properties, settings, display resolution, and move the slider.
if not try rivatuner or powerstrip, its been a looonnngggg time since i had an nvidia, but they were the tools of choice, look for an option to include hdtv resolutions in the display properties. if not, look for an option to add custom resolutions and add, the ones you need, 1280x720 is 720 , 1920x1080 is 1080 :ok
