Does anyone know how to unlock a Motorola (surfboard modem) on telewest broaddand?
I'm getting 2meg download can I get more if its unlocked!

yes you can get more if you hack your modem BUT i wouldnt do it myself
telewest will ban you for sure from all services

you should get a free upgrade soon anyway :biggrin

i have the 10mb line i got a letter the other day saying i will be getting
upgraded soon to 20 mb

normaly when they roll out these upgrades everyone gets upgraded
2mb becomes 4mb and so on ....


also if your 12 month contract has run out that gives you the power to haggle
if so you could phone up ask to speak to customer relations (not services its not the same thing )and tell them you want more speed and less for less money or you a willing to leave them and go to bulldog

i did that bout a 8 months ago and they give me 10mb line for £20
for 6 months and told me to ring back in 6 months

few months back i rang again said if they put the prices back up to what they was i will leave and go to bulldog lol

now i pay £18 a month for the next 12 months :biggrin

funny thing is in our street we can't get a bt phone line so i couldnt go to bulldog anyway :lol
