Anyone know what equipment is needed to backup and play DS games?

aye, google 'supercard', basically an adaptor that allows you to insert a flash card.

then just download rom>patch it(using software downloaded from 'supercard'>using a flash card reader/writer move the game file(s) to flash card.

insert flash card>switch on>play game.

you can also store nes,mastersystem,gameboy, etc games and will play under built-in emulation.
it will also play mp3's and video files and pdf's using homebrew media players.

i paid £20 for my supercard and less than a tenner for a 1 gig flash card.

Did you get your supercard from anywhere special? I'm seeing £40 upwards googling uk
