broadband / Voice Over Ip / Phone

Hi all

Would Anyone Know Of a Good I.S.P. that give you a good broadband phone
that works well its just at im on virgin media 10mb ive been looking around the net but alot of them say i have to be with BT would anyone know away i can get broadband phone

if you know of anyone that has it can you let me know or post the link on here so i can have a look

a m8, (smiggy) has the bt package, which includes a motorola A10 (i think thats the model) which acts like a normal mobie when out and about but as he walks in to his house it connects to his wireless router and free calls. thats about all i know about it, if he is about he'll tell you a bit more about it. :ok

but as far as internet goes, cable is probably the best provider.

y not just get a USB one? my USB one works fine and i call landlines with it too... for free :ok

probably the cheapest VOIP provider for UK users presently is

www.voipcheap.com

You need a SIP capable phone (softphones are free e.g. SJ Phone)
or you can get USB phones (i.e. soundcard on a cable!)

or (like me) you can build an asterisk pbx out of an old pc .
