Where to DL 360 firmware?

I am looking for Maximus Xtreme v1.6 Firmware for Hitachi-LG v0078
there's no DL link on xbins, Where else is recommended?

Grrrrrr, I've found the firmware. Now I'm seeing 3 month old posts saying that to flash the Hitachi/LG GDR-3120L V0078FK drive, you need to dig the eprom out from the epoxy glue it's coated in and flash it in an external programmer.

Can anyone confirm this? Also any recommendations on shops or people in NW England who can flash these drives?

its all in this thread mate guides what firmware is recomended
if you download textbooks superguide look for your drive in it
there is also a video to show you how to flash it


btw xbins don't have links cos you have to connect to it via ftp
to get files from it

im sure textbook shows you how to do this in his video :ok

It just waits at the "connecting to xbins, please be patient..." bit

Tried on XP and Vista.

Not sure it matters so much as I managed to grab the firmware off limewire but would be nice to have original to be on safe side.

sussed it - macafee virusscan 8 blocks IRC by default. Am now the proud owner of a flashed 0078 360 - all i need now is a copied disc to test it with :biggrin, now can anyone help me get an invite to one of these fast torrent sites:biggrin

Think you might be better with newsgroups for downloading 360 games as it only takes a few hours instead of a few days with torrent files.
Can seem a little dauting at first useing news groups but well worth the few hours reading up to learn how to download this way.:ok

Are you talking about ISP feeds or these paid for feeds (I'm on f2s which has no binaries)?
