anyone know the best route to go down for hiding cables on a wall mounted lcd,
just took the plunge and oredered one and know the first thing the missus will say is "do we av to have all those cables on show?".
any web sites /forums for best/least drastic solutions ?,

If it is a hollow wall then use RJ45 wall plate with out the RJ45 in them.
This will give you a neet hol efor you to run the cables through.
If it is a solid wall then you have two choices. Get the hammer and shizel out or the trunking.
No the trunking we all think of first is the nasty white stuff.
But with a bit of out of the box thinking you could use some chrome tubes one iether side will make them look like a stand.
Or drill right through the wall and back again form the other room (only if you can of course)
a good place to start is avforums.com I had loads of help when I was puttin my plasma on the wall.

if its a brick/stud wall, you can drop down the cavity!!
and if you have floor boards with a big cap you can remove half brick from under floor, drill hole when screen will be, and with a bit if string and a fishing weight drop it down and pull out with a metal coat hanger. if its has insulation in the gap, buy a thin length of trunking/rods and push that though hole( drill hole at a angle downwards)

live in a newish house and floorboards are big 8x2 chipboard things so not much cahnce of a gap ,
might go in loft and have a look , but think i'll be looking at cables !
