downloaded a hd movie

its comin as an avi file and i want to watch it on my hdtv how can i do this,i thought i might of been able to burn the file straight to a dual layer disk and play it on my 360 sraight to my tv(but as ive said its not a set of vob files just 1 avi)

Am not sue how to do it with a hd move but try using WinAvi

if it was a wmv hd file you would be able to stream it from the pc to the xbox
and watch it that way

i doubt avi is supprted


to even play hd dvd films you need to upgrade your dvd drive
to the usb one below

my good god even more money.Right it looks like ill have to take my pc to the tv and plug them in to each other so then the tv acts as a monitor hope this works.

So if i plug my pc to tv with the rgb connector then i should gett hd working coz i thought i had to go through the lead with the 5 diffent colours on to get to the hd channel

i doubt if this will count as true HD but, use the tv out from your graphics card (most cards from the last 4 years have them as standard) connect this to a scart adaptor, then take the audio to the scard by using a phono to minijack lead, then set the resolution of the pc to a hd standard (1280*720 or similar) and see how it looks. although a few mates have hd tv's and most have a d-sub monitor connector for connecting to a pc and using as a monitor, so have a look :ok

I play hdtv-avi files through my xp media edition pc via dvi>hdmi cable - works a treat
