Hi Bob
Get the version6 files from this thread http://www.uksatcentre.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2491
1. Copy all files and folders in 'COPY_TO_SD_CARD' to your SD card.
2. Run 'ttn6ifalleni.cab' in folder 'TT6 sys'.
3. reboot when asked for.
4. Run 'tt6today.cab' in folder 'TT6 sys' to get the TomTom link on your Today Screen.
5. Copy UK Maps for TT6 on your SD card
6. you need to choose the Guam map and enter anything you like to activate it.
Then goto 'change preferances' and change to the GB maps.
Enjoy!

You will have to un-install the TT5 mate.
Have you installed Activesync?
If you have'nt you will need to, this is what connects the PDA to your comp.
It will also give you the option to back up the PDA before you start playing around and if you have any probs can put it back to how it was earlier.

On your PDA, go start/programs/file explorer/my device/storage card find the TT6 sys folder and follow the instructions above.
|It sounds to me like you are trying to run Tomtom5 that was installed earlier......
