i just can,t make my mind up what to get !
i only want to spend about £1000 and ihave seen a few models i like i have seen a 50" sony rear and a few 42" plasmas

i would just like some comments on what people have etc ,so i can make my mind up

i enclosed a couple i have looked at

stay away from rear projections in my experience mate, plasmas rock!!
The only downside is image burn on the screen, saying that though i've had my plasma for 4 years and i play pro evo on the playstation a LOT and its barely noticable.

Main problem with rear projection is that if you move higher or lower when watching it the brightness changes - try it in the shop - not good if you keep fidgiting

Any reason why you're not looking at LCD?

I had a rear projection 42 inch wide screen toshiba , good telly , just got hold of a 47 inch wide screen lcd toshiba a couple of weeks ago , paid £1800 for the tv from curry s and £150 for the stand , i forgot about the price match , were dixon s was doing the telly for £1560 the stand was half price £150 , heard that sony have dropped the plasma s for the lcd market . I would go for the lcd tv , but read up on the hows and whats first, plasma s are comming down in price the future is lcd s .
