The tip for space invaders is...

Go to the right hand side of the screen and shoot the closest row to the edge of the screen, this prevents the invaders from dropping, keep doing this.

when it starts and the aliens are low shoot the lower 2 rows before going to the edge where the aliens are heading and keep shooting the aliens that will stop them dropping forget the bonus ship above thats there to throw you off the real task which is to prevent the ships reaching you.

Thats how i used to do it, i struggle to see the aliens properly now to actually play properly.
