can anyone help need to set up an asus 54mbps lan card wl-107g with a wannado wireless routercalled the live boxcant get it to pair put the wep number in but wont join up can anyone help on this please

dunno if it will help you but I always set wireless adaptors to use Windows Wireless Configuration rather than the software that comes with the adaptor. and make sure you double check the key.

You could always temporarily disable the WEP on the router just to see if that is causing the problem mate, although you can normally see a wireless network even if you dont have the key, it simply wont let you connect to it .............

i have tried the windows way and is finding provider but when i put wep key in it seems to long and it wont connect starting to get me all confused now lol would i have to set anything up in the router to find the adaptor?

thanks wobbs had a look at it but there is no step by step on how to link a seperate wireless card to a different router even though i have the wep number as the original wireless adaptor i had is knackered if anyone is able to do this i wouldnt mind remoting to find out how please

just for info if anyone has the same prob you can get temp conection by disabling your wep key in the router

never use wep myself i use WPA-PSK Encryption Technique :AES
then all you do is pick a password and use it on each wireless device
