Help guys...

I have a wee prob with a V nice TV I was so kindly given and would dearly love to get it fixed...

It has developed a fault where it is changing to the Av extension on its own... (very twilight zoneish..o0ooooo scary)

A little research has thrown up the problem and its the main Painter chip (or summat) for which it seemingly has to go back to Phillips for repair..at a huge cost... and given the age of telly not really a solution..

Is there ANY of you experienced chaps out there that can possibly have a lookie & see..and hopefully fix this at a lesser cost... (of course i would re-emburse expenses etc..)

The model is...

philips 28pw6515 av

TIA

Hi Wobbs,

Have you got anything connected to one or other of the AV SCARTs? If so, try disconnecting the wire from pin 8 at one end or other of the SCART lead (pin 8 is used to auto switch the TV or whatever to the source). You can always switch manually to whatever when you want:wink:
