hi all trying to add a map to my tom tom pda.have installed the france map onto the sd card. but it keeps saying no maps found . put the other sd card back in with the gb map work fine any ideas anyone tx

Have you tried using a bigger sd card and copy all existing data onto bigger card then copy france to that. ive just done that for a mate whose going to france and this way it worked fine

hi driver. the original card with the gb map on is 1gig put the france map onto that but in the tomtom settings to change map it only shows the gb map and not the france. thats y i thought of putting it on a sepperate card but no joy on that

Are you sure that the map files are for TomTom mate ? It sounds as if TomTom either isn't recognising the new map folder or there is a file missing .................

hi macker the its a original disk cd1 benelux france it goes on ok but tomtom donsent see it for some reason m8

Saw my mate he said what are you using is it pda or phone what make as it should copy no probs if you can give me information will speak to him early on tues clive

John try this just been playing with my sat nav

put tom tom france disc in drive then click my computer left then right click on disc drive click on explore then look on left says folder click on nveur folder icon then click on map folder icon then it should give you 4 folders below copy and paste france folder to your sd card try this might work only got 256 sd card in mine say not enough space to continue its about 240 mb for france and france 64 is about 320 let me know if works but will try my mate over weekend for you regards clive

hi driver did what you said m8 still the same dont know what else it could be. apart from it being the wrong version or something like that

Just spoke to mate who does tom tom 5 hes says should copy onto mem card no problem. said when on card put into pda then start pda go into menu and go into map menu see if france map is there then select french map this should work

he said failing that got to li**wi*e on internet and download french map from there he say this usually works if all else fails good luck
