Mouse Repairs

Is it worth it or possible to repair a mouse?
my mitsumi optical mouse started going very slowly then began to be unreponsive
most of the time,
it wont work at all wth my laptop. although it still emits a red light from
its base.
This isnt a cheap mouse costing nearly £17 about 18 months ago.
does anyone have experiance of mouse repairs?

have you checked theres no muck on the optical sensor, normally a clear out with a cotton wool bud can do wonders

Tried that m8 no luck, bought a new 1 from argos £7.99 mikomi,(made in China) quite nice mouse. :ok
