Ok
as some of you will know my sister in - law is in hospital .. She is in for her opp this week to have 75% of her kidney .. her appendix and small bowl removed ...
She works in a school kitchen and in the build up to her opp has had a few days off work , Her boss said don't worry go home , don't come in tomorrow etc , you will get paid ..
Now she gets her wage and she has not been paid and now after getting news the cancer has spread is told she won't get paid while she is off ..
Does anyone know what help she can get that she is entitled to ... If anyone can help it would be great ..
Remember what ever you think of me personally donsn't matter .. you are helping someone else not me !!
Cheers in advance

Sorry to hear about your sister in laws illness Rog.
The best plan of action is to go to your local Citizens advice bureau (CAB) armed with as much paperwork detailing all or any benefits she /or partner are claiming and all outgoings, expenses etc .
Check to see also has she / partner any insurance policies from there employers (primarily partner in this case) that may be triggered with this hospital admittance.
Give her all our best wishes m8 , hope she beats this. :ok

she is being very pos about it .. She is lucky in one way , she had a scan for something else .. If she hadn't then she would not be in hospital .. She is walking round as fit as a fiddle ..
I'll give her your advice and best wishes

That's fantastic m8 , I'll pass that on to her .... Amazing isn't it people can drift into this bl**dy country and get all the help they need without asking .. Someone born here has to scrape around and look for the answers ..
Many thanks for that

M8 i know from personal experience certain foods trigger me off with some of my health problems more than others, i know certain foods can make me feel like s*it, if you are the same you need to establish what foods do for you, get a small book and write down everything you eat in that day, then at the end of the day how you feel etc.
Then see what days you felt worse and see what foods you ate and then see if you can find the common food that causes you problems and avoid, then the food you can eat with no problems over time you will get to know if eating a banana will cause problems etc.
Once done you can start to look at recipes and add new foods etc.
most processed foods contain shi+ so check labels etc, you may think you are eating a ham sarnie etc but most processed ham can contain loads of stuff like sugar, potato starch etc etc.
But like i said a food diary is a must at first.
