anyone know how to put my old vcr films on to dvd. ie what program to use and how to connect the vcr to the pc tx

The way i have been telling others on other forums. is

buy a dvdrecorder for under the tv forget the pc for a moment
plug in vcr via scart into scart in on dvdrecorder

play video - record on dvdr

then if you wish bring dvd with recorded film on to pc and edit that way...

no need to buy equipment for pc that you wont use again, but dvdrecorder under the tv you will use it over and over etc.

I have to agree with Imcal M8, that is by far the easiest way now that DVD recorders and blank media are so cheap.
