The Blind Side (2009)
i see movies all of the time and non really stand out but this one...well....
Starring Sandra Bullock, Kathy Bates
This movie is a tear jerker, throat swallowing movie...
Basically Sandra Bullock is a mum to a daughter and a son, the dad is a rich guy, they live in a big house and the kids go to a exclusive school.
One day this black guy turns up with his son and a friend of his son, he wants to get them out of the slums where they live and put them into school, but there grades are poor, until they notice Michael who is "a walking monster" 7ft odd built like a tank kid who is playing basketball the coach wants him but poor grades etc, eventually the coach pulls several favours and he gets Michael in the school.
Michael is a down and out kid from a background where mum is high on drugs and dad where is dad? later we find out!.
Michael has been removed from mum on several occasions, anyway Michael is now in school but he lives on his own , he owns the clothes on his back, one night on the way back from a night out Sandra Bullock see`s Michael Walking in the rain and offers him a lift (she has seen him at her kids school - well u cant miss him) and eventually finds out he is basically homeless, so she gives him somewhere to stay for the night and this becomes more and more
Anyway back at school the coach wants him to play American Football but Michael doesnt know how to play....
And we follow the movie to see how he gets on...
Let`s just say its a movie that tugs at your heart and makes you smile, and when you find out thats it is a true story.
Its not very often a movie comes along which isnt loaded with violence and special fx and grabs you by the heart and takes you on a 2hr+ journey of this young man`s life and how people can change you.
I suggest you find away to watch this movie, it`s great movie with a great message and story.
