Hi just ordered one for my wife for xmas was wondering how I go about getting music/albums for it other than apple official store & how easy is it to load music onto the Nano via my pc:ok

You will have to use itunes to load im afraid- just import any music you have now to the library and itunes will sort it- you dont have to purchase from itunes all the time or at all

Just download from newsgroups etc... copy original cds etc..

hehe will be selling a brand new one in a few days too
my GF just won it in a competition should arrive soon



time to learn about torrents and newgroups mate get your mp3 albums free
there is loads of info on our forums on this mate


loading them is easy with itunes or with sharepod

thanks wobbs getting a bit worried cos someone said you can't put your mp3's on to it cos it's not compatible??????????????

its another way of loading files to the ipod mate



all you do is download sharepod and drop it on the ipod hard drive


when you want to add or remove files plug in the pod click the sharepod file on the pod
and it opens a program for moving files to and from the pod


much better than itunes ....I hate itunes



how can ipod not be compatible with mp3 when it's an mp3 player lol

I was tould the 5th generation nano plays mp4 not mp3 which got me looking for advice as I have thousands of mp3 albums

Cool i looky at that TT- I really hate Itunes aswell -

Shoppy- its mp3 and Mp4(video files) I use a fab prog for converting any source of Dvd/avi etc..into Mp4 its ace and fast

Called Handbrake- just google it.. :)

I must say I have got thousands of mp3 on mine but also got 6 or 7 films which i sit watching whilst at work - Its brill

mp4 is video mate not audio


Audio formats supported:
AAC (8 to 320 Kbps),
Protected AAC (from iTunes Store),

davemak put me on to it years ago when the ipod mini was about lol
