remove unwanted prog

the mrs shouted me earlier she was on facebook and everything was in spanish
i could not see what to do to cahnge back
thats when i noticed a prog on the desktop running called Personel Anti Virus

this par had done a scan of the comp and showed 100s of trojens in every part of the pc
i cant, believe this is correct as i never use this pc to download anything and never go on any dodgy sites
this is where it gets odd ,i use windows live one for protection and have alwasys found it to work gr8
whwn u go into the files and try to uninstal it ,it just freezes the prog and wont let u delelte it

has my pc really got all these trojans or is it just a con to get me to buy the P.A,R product


also when i runa full scan it only gets to 30%and then says paused,but will not let u unpause to resume the scan

Does it look like its web based - they can do this to make it look like you've got a virus or trojan but you haven't really

i think it is web based becauce i just can,t imagine getting the amount of trojans that it is saying,esp as one care is not showing anything

i think is a ploy to mske you buy the product

looks like i,ve finally got rid of it ,just running a full scan now ,

this is the 2nd or 3rd time this has happened lattely and each time thw wife had just been on facebook,its looking like its not a safe site to be on

Facebook is relatively safe- only thing you likely to get is a load of spam if you click thru the adverts on the right hand side of page and or sign up for something-

Get a copy of ccleaner (google it) run it

Get a copy of avg free- (google it) run it

Get a copy of spybot search and destroy (google it) run it

I garuntee you aint got anything !
