View Full Version : Usb Freeview sticks

Hiya chaps-Can you please recommend a dvb-freeview stick that works on a vista lappy- mainly when out and about (coach driver)

Cheap as chips cus the ole man a skin flint- just had one of the August dvb sticks from amazon and it was almost next to useless- tried ages get going and in really strong freeview area.. so its goin back.

Any recommendations

does your lappy have either pcmcia or cardbus slot (if its recent it will be cardbus, which is pretty much the same but its a newer faster technology, like usb1.1 v usb2 )

i have found these cards are much more reliable than usb for tv cards. i use a avertv hybrid (analog + digital) pcmcia card in my lappy and that works great with a decent ariel. :ok
