Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Its been a couple of years since Transformers the movie so the sequal was due after all its easy to create a big film from such a iconic toy/series you already have half of the captured audience interested, but did this film dive bomb or what?

The film description (i`ll try and not give too much away)

We start the film thousands of years before christ was born and we see Decepticons (bad robots) and the Autobots (good robots) fighting

Sam Witwicky is now about to leave home and to go off to college whilst sorting his clothing out to take , a piece magical shard (part of a bigger relic)falls off his clothes on to the floor, melts and burns it`s way down stairs and into the kitchen below where all of the appliances transform and start attacking etc.

Anyway off to college he goes leaving his girlfriend behind with webcam communications to keep intouch, where he meets his room mate who is part of a computer scifi nerd group who believe they have footage of cars coverting into robots , Sam although involved in this says basically its all false and fake etc.

However it isn`t long before the fight comes back to him The Fallen a robot that has been here before who destroys suns to harness the energy is coming back to earth to destroy our sun.

But Sam and army along with the Autobots will have something to say about that it wont be such a easy job.

The film is a 12A certificate which means parents can take under 12`s to see it , however there is some sexual references in the movie and we also see 2 dogs at it and a robot humping a womans leg, there is a few swear words in it and a reference to testicles and how many times they can be hit before it stops you becoming a father etc.

I know this movie is going to be one of the big summer blockbusters it has plenty of action and special effects the story is well okish but could easily be improved,It was kind of enjoyable but somehow lacking and at nearly 2 1/2hrs it was kind of harry potterish you know not quiet enough to fill that amount of time so trimming 30minutes or so and compacting the story wouldn`t have been a bad thing.

I wouldnt say this movie is a must see movie , i would say its more of a if its a wet afternoon or lets have a cheap night out movie.

2.8 out of 5

saw the trailer at the imax while watching startrek and it did look amazing, but i wasn't sure if i fancied it enough to watch it at the pic's, but the 2 1/2 hour length has done it for me.

i'll catch it when its an R5 :ok
