Prob only the die-hard emu fans will know anything about these but now I'm coming to the end of many years of getting round to sorting my MAME cab I've come by a great frontend called AtomicFE.

Here is there website: wwww.atomicfe.com/EN2/index.php
Dont know how new this 1 is but sure looks ideal for my needs and may interest other emulation fans seeing as it seems to supports other emulation (including juke box I think) systems.

Oh yes it will m8 will have the i-pac board here friday or monday hopefully. The arcade controlls are nearly wired up and ready. Latest MAME (0.131) with romset and all working CHD roms are ready (well the CHD roms that are worth downloading since most dont work and some are repeats and over 1gb etc) and tested. Lappy is freshly formatted and waiting file transfer (but may run off main pc at first).

But to save clogging up the old lappy that will reside in the cab I may just test each game I want and just put that on the main MAME system as there are a hell of a lot of repeats\clones & diff rev versions (basically not really needed).

That way it would leave some free space for other emulation setups!.

Will let you know how I get on with the frontend m8.

Had a quick go of the frontend tonight. Seems ok from whatI can tell, without more extensive testing though. Certainly better than using the generic boring MAME screen.

Sure looks like there are some great options for it, but yet to test them.

I'm going to try a couple of other emulators over the weekend as there is some great art work for them on the website. Only really going to use it for MAME but may well add a few Sega and Nintendo ones to see how they work.

Would love it if the pinball emu's work via it, but 1 step at a time lol.

To be honest mate, I'm still running Ultrastyle as a frontend here, alongside AK8 & SKJukebox from when I first put the cab together!

Must be some interesting new stuff out there if I ever get time to look ...........
