I went out this morning just to watch this latest Startrek movie.


I am not a huge fan of startrek movies infact i only really liked Startrek Voyager the series(7 of 9 can i be 8 please)....?


So i`d seen a ad and thought yep i`ll go so off i went.


Sat down and thought well it will pass 126minutes away

And i am so pleased i went to watch this..

This movie is a great action scifi movie not the best in the world but easily better than most.

The story is basically how James T Kirk and crew get together and how he becomes captain it`s a good story and has plenty of action and some of the special effects are just brilliant.

closing thoughts:

I really hope that a tv series is spawned from this because i`m sick of all the cop dramas on the box and i like the cast which included Simon Pegg (Shaun of the dead etc).

Sadly I cant see a Trek series at all in the next 10-15 years. The Trek brand had been run into the ground even before Enterprise went into production. To have 4 different tv shows from the Star Trek world was enough for the viewers and that was reflected in that Enterprise was axed before it had chance to get going properly.

And to be honest a series based after the new film would be far to similar to Enterprise and just a remake of the original Trek series.

I'd simply like to see Star Trek carry on in the film format again for the next 10-15 years. At which point I feel people would accept it back as a series.

im only really a voyager and enterprise fan too. my mate is proper trek and has been pestering me to do the imax for this.

Well all of my m8s went see it this weekend and there talking about it, its a great Trek film , it has humour,action ,scifi and a good story.

DaveMak i hope you get chance to see it m8 one way or the other.

Dave9946 maybe so with a series but i for one i am sick of shows like House,C.S.I and crime shows in general theyre all the same in my opion they always solve the crime.
