have just got a wireless network kit from maplins + usb adapter so i have 2 desktops + 1 laptop all connecting ok to internet .
what i need to know in simplest terms as poss is how to set up so its secure so other pc users cant use it.
its an open connection at the moment & the instructions lose me.IE i would like if possible to set it up so users have to enter a password to be able to connect.
to do this do i have to enter the ips of each pc or is there a way to do it in the router software to set a password so anyone trying to connect has to enter password.
Reason being the nephews/nieces have laptops & when they visit i dont want to have to enter ips of allowed pcs as they may change .Hope you understand any help appreciated. No file shareing just internet connections required.

That's right - but WPA encryption is much better than WEp, so go for WAP every time.

www.grc.com/passwords (http://www.grc.com/passwords) can supply you with a randomly generated key that you put into the router and all the computers you are connecting with.
